Rev. Fr. Ghislain Bakulikire Mulumanzi
I was born in 1972 in D.R.Congo in a committed Christian family. At the age of 23, motivated by the zeal and dedication of Xaverian Missionaries in my home parish, Saint Bernadette, I felt the Lord was calling me too to consecrate my own life in the work of evangelisation.
I entered the seminary of the same order of Xaverian missionaries in 1995. After completing 5 years of study in philosophy in D.R. Congo and the 5 years of Theology in Cameroon- Yaoundé, I was ordained a priest on 2nd October 2005. Soon after that I was assigned to London to master the English language in view of the mission work in Sierra Leone.
In December 2007 I arrived in Sierra Leone where I evangelised villages and founded several Christian communities. Also, I was much interested in education and taught in Kabala Secondary School. I left Sierra Leone in October 2012. Returning to the United Kingdom, I was assigned to Saint Columbkille’s, Rutherglen in the Diocese of Motherwell.
I am now the Parish Priest of Saint Monica’s.
